2015 wasn’t our best year at Help-Portrait Baltimore. We had to cancel one of our locations which truly stunk and I’d again like to apologize to everyone for this. We did however have a team do an exceptional job for our partner House of Ruth. Here is a little note from Alicia Green, team lead for House of Ruth, to those that volunteered their time and made the day an amazing one for our clients.
I wanted to send a thank you along with the team picture because of how appreciative I am for all your hard work that day making it a big success! Everyone did a great job in their roles that were all important to make that day happen. The hair stylists and makeup artists were so generous providing all your own supplies and bringing those wonderful pamper bags for all the women to take home. The photographers improvising with what little you had for lighting and backdrops and still coming out with awesome photos plus some great editing using a computer and program you’ve never used before. The hospitality people holding that fort and making lots of kids happy and keeping them occupied with so few volunteers. I am so thankful to have served with such a great team my first year coordinating a site solo, and could have totally melted down if it weren’t for you all. I thank you so much for taking a precious Saturday out of your busy holiday schedule to brighten some women and children’s lives. I hope that you were able to enjoy the day and know what you did has spread some major joy around the Baltimore area.
Thank you Alicia for leading a great team doing some seriously good work at House of Ruth just a few weeks ago.
We do hope that you’ll join us on December 3rd, 2016 for the next Help-Portrait Baltimore. It’s going to be an exciting time, with no cancelled locations. If you would like to help with planning next year’s event please reply to this email and let us know how you’d like to help.
